Qualifications
Bob Holmes attended the Maryland State
Police Patrol Dog Academy in the Spring of 1989. Bob
was a Police K9 Handler and Trainer and went on to
instruct and train Police Dog Handlers. Almost
immediately, Bob realized that pet dog owners could
benefit from the techniques he learned from the Maryland
State Police Academy, and began offering private lessons
as well as classes for non-police dog owners. Within a
few years, Bob was recognized as a Master Dog Trainer
and an authority on training. In the Maryland
Court System, Bob was also regarded as an expert witness in dog
related cases. Due to Bob specializing in addressing
canine behavior problems, the Wicomico County Maryland
Animal Control Department made it a policy for an owner
to contract with him in order to retrieve a quarantined
dog involved in a bite case.
Bob Holmes has trained thousands of
dogs in several states for Police Departments as well as
private citizens.
